Marrying a Russian Woman already in the U.S. on a visa
I have a friend who met an RW currently over here in the U.S. as a missionary and her visa is good until next July (7-2009). They are interested in getting married. What for do they need to start with. I looked the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service website and not seeing what I need. They used to have some good FAQ’s when I went through the process in 2001/2002 but I find it lacking in usability.
I know they will need to fill out the I-325 bio forms along with the 485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status and I864 Affidavit of Support and the Act and the I-765 Application for Employment Authorization for employment. What is the main form to submit (Like I
did the I129F to bring my RW here back in 2002). I did find the “how do I” guides.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Can they get married and then apply or is it better to apply first and then get married.
Update: thourough response to the question is here
