If people need to call around to a mix of countries on one contract…
Re previous post (Phone calls to Russia - 3000 minutes for $19.95/month - TWC digital phone) - the deal sounds great for a large number of minutes (3000) for only 1995 pennies ( plus tax
If people need to call around to a mix of countries on one contract, the
best deal I found (to Russia and throughout Europe) is VOIP-Stunt. For 10
Euros, you get 120 days of free calls to all landlines in Russia, Germany,
England, France, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Finland, etc. After 120 days, you
can renew for another 10 Euros, or just start paying “standard” rates (which
are also good). Also cheap to Ukraine ($0.085) and Kazakstan ($0.066). They
charge your credit card in dollars at the exchange rate that day. The
phone quality is excellent. They support several hardware devices including
USB, WiFi, SIP, Bluetooth & standard PC headsets. You can also use a
call-back system which calls you back (hence “callback”) on your own
landline number and connects you to your destination. They also support SMS
text messages to cell phones inexpensively as well. The only countries I
found better priced on 2 phones systems I compared to VOIP-Stunt were
Yahoo!Phone to Mexico ($0.065) and WDT to India ($0.055). VOIPStunt Mobile
rates are good to FSU states, e.g. $0.052 to all Russian mobile phones
(higher elsewhere). But rates to mobile phones in Europe are all better with
Yahoo!Phone.
